Co-operative Values:

Cooperatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity.  Co-operative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others.

YES!  is a Service Coop business model to manage and allocate ECEAP slots. Here's how the seven cooperative principles typically apply:

CO-OP PRINCIPLES:

1. Voluntary and

Open Membership:

YES Cooperative allows members who are vetted and contracted with ECEAP slots to voluntarily join and participate in the rich cooperative experience and benefits.

2. Democratic Member

Control:

Members of YES Cooperative have a say in the decision-making process regarding the allocation and management of ECEAP slots. Decisions are typically made through a democratic voting process. Yes has a Board of Director, EBoard and Parent Board

3. Member Economic Participation:

Members contribute financially to the cooperative, either through membership fees or other forms of financial support, to ensure the sustainability of ECEAP slots and cooperative operations. YES Eboard voted to apply a $200.00 annual fee for membership.

4. Autonomy and

Independence:

YES Cooperative operates independently, allowing it to make decisions that best serve the interests of its members, as small business owners and the community through Regional activities.

5. Education, Training, and Information:

The cooperative provides its members with information and training related to ECEAP slots, early childhood education, professional development and cooperative principles to empower the members with knowledge.

7. Concern for the

Community:

YES Cooperative's primary focus is on the well-being of the community it serves by ensuring access to ECEAP slots and promoting the importance of early childhood education.
